This
is a very rare chance to own a 1981 Lotus Esprit turbo with full Essex
specification.
This
is a very famous car vin number 10307 which is one of the three cars built the
same time as the Essex cars and sent to Jim Loose, a dealer in the USA and is
identical to an Essex Esprit . When Jim Loose got hold of these cars he
repainted the other two Essex Blue [this car 10307 was already originally Essex
blue] and he added all the Essex livery. So Lotus cars will not recognise this
car as an Essex car although vin number 10306 and 10308 are recognised there
were only roughly 12 LHD Essex Esprits ever made.
This
is identical to an Essex car in every way it even has Essex cam covers fitted to
the engine.
I
imported this car from America earlier this year and underneath is in excellent
condition as it spent most of its life in California . The interior is also very
good .
The
paintwork is okay but is showing some age related marks.
I
have the original Essex Lotus owners handbook with the car and an Auto check HPI
report plus some invoices of work we have done to the car to re-commission it
including a full service with all belts etc new rear silencer plus brakes
etc
The
speedometer is showing just over 10,000 miles which I believe to be true
although I can not confirm this as I have no stamps in the book or old receipts.
But going by the condition of the car I would say this is correct .
The
car is also missing the front wing decals which I have.
